Hitler's Autochthon > The Nazi's can't use the Athenian Autochthon myth, partly because they trace themselves linguistically to the Aryans of North India who migrated to the German lands, and also because they loathe democracy. Like the Anglo-Ams, they espouse the colonialist Abrahamic myth, wherein their claim to soil is expressed through genocidal war and blood purity.

1905 "The German Society for Racial Hygiene (German: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Rassenhygiene) was a German eugenic organization founded on 22 June 1905 by the physician Alfred Ploetz in Berlin. Its goal was "for society to return to a healthy and blooming, strong and beautiful life" as Ploetz put it. The Nordic race was supposed to regain its "purity" through selective reproduction and sterilization."

1925-6

"The generation of our present notorious weaklings will obviously cry out against this, and moan and complain about assaults on the holiest human rights. "More than just providing the scientific roadmap, America funded Germany's eugenic institutions.

By 1926, Rockefeller had donated some $410,000 -- almost $4 million in today's money -- to hundreds of German researchers. In May 1926, Rockefeller awarded $250,000 toward creation of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Psychiatry. Among the leading psychiatrists at the German Psychiatric Institute was Ernst Rüdin, who became director and eventually an architect of Hitler's systematic medical repression."

1930

A New Nobility of Blood and Soil by R. Walther Darré is published. It is embraced by the Nazis, and he is appointed Reich Minister of Food and Agriculture. He argues for a return to a pre-industrial capitalist neo-medieval feudal system where the elite govern as in the days of the original Germanic clans: "The German soul, with all its warmness, is rooted in its native landscape and has, in a sense, always grown out of it" (79)

Working on their fathers' soil, struggling with the forces of nature, and for and nurturing plants and animals in various seasons generates a very specific soul-force. precisely that 'inner sense' of which we spoke of above, which is like a part of nature itself—rooted in it and grown out of it. In this way agriculture influences the soul in a way that allows it, in turn, to be influenced by the creative power of the racially-conditioned humans being. 1930s

According to geneticist James Watson:

"By the time the 1930s arrived many people effectively thought [USA eugenicist] Davenport had lost his bonkers, eugenics was just silly prejudice. Unfortunately as it lost favor in the United States, Hitler came to power in Germany and liked very much the ideas of the unfit, and he wanted to get them out of German life."

1933

On February 1, Hitler addresses the nation for the first time as Chancellor, and expresses the Blood and Soil myth: "The fundamentals of our life are founded on values which no one can take away from us except we ourselves; they are founded on our own flesh and blood and willpower and in our soil. Volk und Erde—those are the two roots from which we will draw our strength and upon which we propose to base our resolves.

And this brings us thus to our sixth item, clearly the goal of our struggle: the preservation of this Volk and this soil, the preservation of this Volk for the future, in the realization that this alone can constitute our reason for being. It is not for ideas that we live, not for theories or fantastic party programs; no, we live and fight for the German Volk, for the preservation of its existence..."

June:

"Adolf Hitler had been following eugenic developments in the United States for years. He knew that Madison Grant, in The Passing of the Great Race, had explained that a government could help preserve the Nordics by implementing a widespread sterilization program. Accordingly, in June of 1933, just weeks after taking office, the Nazis promulgated The Law for the Prevention of Hereditarily Diseased Offspring, a.k.a. the Sterilization Law" (362).

"The Nuremberg Laws were antisemitic and racist laws that were enacted in Nazi Germany on 15 September 1935, at a special meeting of the Reichstag convened during the annual Nuremberg Rally of the Nazi Party. The two laws were the Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honour, which forbade marriages and extramarital intercourse between Jews and Germans and the employment of German females under 45 in Jewish households; and the Reich Citizenship Law, which declared that only those of German or related blood were eligible to be Reich citizens. The remainder were classed as state subjects without any citizenship rights."

1937

Hitler, Berlin, Reichstag -- Blood and Soil Speech of January 30: "The National Socialist program replaces the liberalistic conception of the individual by the conception of a people bound by their blood to the soil. Of all the tasks with which we are confronted, it is the grandest and most sacred task of man to preserve his race. This will not lead to an estrangement of the nations; on the contrary, it will lead for the first time to a mutual understanding. It will also prevent the Jewish people from trying to disintegrate and dominate other people under the mask of an innocent bourgeoisie."

1938

September 6, Nuremberg rally:

"The National Socialist Party .... had to acknowledge the eternal values of blood and earth, and it had to elevate these principles to become the leading imperatives in our lives. It had to begin the fight against the greatest enemy which threatens to destroy our Volk: the international Jewish world enemy!"

1939-1945

After the Wannsee conference, implementation of gassing technology was accelerated by Heydrich. Beginning in the spring of 1942, three killing factories were built secretly in east-central Poland. The SS officers responsible for the earlier Aktion T4, including Wirth, Stangl and Irmfried Eberl, had important roles in the implementation of the "Final Solution" for the next two years." March 30, 1941 Hitler tells his generals they are re-enacting the "conquest of America": “It is inconceivable that a higher people should painfully exist on a soil too narrow for it, whilst amorphous masses, which contribute nothing to civilization, occupy infinite tracts of a soil that is one of the richest in the world. Here in the east a similar process will repeat itself for the second time as in the conquest of America. Our Mississippi must be the Volga.”
